Our retaining wall and fence on our 'high' side has been completed! Our neighbour has done a fanstastic job getting everything organised to have this done. They are currently in their home now, so are that little bit ahead of us in readiness to have this all done. But it's done and looking great! We had the retaining wall professionally done and the fence was DIY. A big day had by the blokes on Saturday and much to our surprise, was completed on Sunday (unfortunately we couldn't help on Sunday, but also were not expecting it to be finished otherwise Sean (my husband) would have been right back out there to help do it). Quite obviously, our house is on the left. Neighbours turf looking good though. Can't wait until we have the green stuff =)

Painting has begun & shower niche tiles
After what has felt like a forever wait, there was finally some work happening again at our home. I know it's been Easter long weekend and we are in the middle of a backlog with Allworth, but after no work being done in 5 working days, I was starting to get a bit anxious.
But... the painters have arrived. Due to the lack of contractors around here to keep up with demand, they have got a crew up from the Central Coast to get us back on track.
We timed it very well today, arriving right when our site supervisor was there. We were able to go in and have a quick look around. We hadn't been in since the tiling had been done in the laundry, ensuite and bathroom. All is looking good - except I am really disappointed we decided to have the feature tiles in the shower niches laid vertically. Wish we'd had them laid horizontally. *Slaps forehead... what was I thinking!!

Garage door is on
Our garage door was installed today. I have always been a bit worried it would look too dark and that the window strip at the top would look a bit funny as I haven't actually seen one like it but I am happy to say I LOVE it!

Block has been leveled
We decided we'd get the block leveled so we can have access up the side of the house and a leveled backyard for the kids to play in. Can also see where we are working now re: retaining walls on all sides now.
To be retained on our 'high' side
To be retained at the back
After our neighbours cut in to begin their build, this is what needs to be retained on the 'low' side...

Vanities are in
Today we met our site supervisor Wayne onsite to have a good look at our kitchen install. I was very surprised to see the vanities had also been installed.
Ensuite
I am so happy with the finish on the cupboards in the ensuite. We had to make a snappy decision when we signed the contract as the colour we'd actually picked was only a benchtop colour. Nothing else was what we were looking for so we just went with black. I think it looks great and will look fab with our feature tile on the shower.
Main Bathroom. Baths in too!
